Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
We hope everyone has had a restful and enjoyable summer. The first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 5. We're looking forward to a productive school year of learning and growing together!
*Goals reflect ongoing initiatives
Goal 1 – Implement research-based PreK-12 supports and programs (such as the expansion of the International Baccalaureate program into the middle and elementary school levels) for all students to increase their post high school career and study options.
Goal 2 – Focus on district-wide instructional initiatives that recognize literacy as the foundation for all subject areas and that all educators are teachers of reading and writing.
Goal 3 – Facilitate student growth and achievement through professional development that improves instructional practices and student engagement, and promotes critical thinking.
Goal 4 – Advocate for the equitable funding of Foundation Aid, which is controlled by lawmakers, State Educational Department leadership, and the Board of Regents.
